Administrative Professional's Day

Today was Administrative Profesional's Day formerly Secretary's Day- used to be a great day in the flower business. not so much so any more.
When it was called Sec. Day - it was bigger than Easter ! Then someone felt the term Secretary was a bad word. Why ?
We have Secretary of state, sec of treasury - sec of defense ! people have too many issues..

Drum Machines Have No Soul

Kindles have no soul. Books Have soul.

I-pods have no soul. Live Music has soul.

Emails have no soul. Writing letters and mailing them has soul.

Technology is great, but let's not forget what got us there.

Fenway Collection 1912

I have a great baseball memorabilia collection. Special pieces of the game that I hold dear. Because the Red Sox are the showcase of my collection- I have named my collection; Fenway Collection 1912.
Today I added another great piece; the 2008 locker room clubhouse chair of Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury.
Today was also a sad day for baseball as Mark Fidrych was found dead. He was an asset to the game during his short stay. He made the game fun. Thank you Mark. Rest in peace.

Opening Day

Opening Day is one of my favorite holidays. The city is energized and hope springs eternal for all baseball fans. Boston is especially exciting.
Many Boston establishments offer all types of Opening Day specials. Lux Bond & Green, official Red Sox jeweler is giving out free sausages from 12-2pm. JP Licks ice cream is offering $1 scoops all day and Exotic Flowers is trading 10 tulips for 10 Red Sox baseball cards.

The rain has postponed today's game and we get to soak up the Opening Day Celebration again tomorrow.

162 games to go... see you at Fenway.
