When Rick Canale celebrates the feats of superstars playing the field in his flower shop, the Boston florist is usually talking RBIs and homeruns, not Hollywood golden girls and romantic comedies.
But love can change a person, or in this case, “Love Happens,” the movie starring Jennifer Aniston as a florist, has changed Canale. The official florist of the Boston Red Sox and 2008 Floral Management Marketer of the Year is now pitching the movie’s premiere with exclusive picture-perfect arrangements online and ticket-stub deals at Exotic Flowers.
Canale’s home page (www.exoticflowers.com) sells Teleflora bouquets from “Eloise’s Garden,” the name of the fictional Seattle shop owned by Aniston’s character. In an e-mail he’ll send Sept. 18, when the film opens nationwide, Canale accesses his Hollywood reporter with a behind-the-scenes look at Aniston’s training alongside industry veteran Marie Ackerman.
